Leadership is fundamentally about helping people move in collective direction while taking into consideration their fundamental needs and aspirations as individuals. This new research takes a first look at considering employees in the sport environment from the whole person perspective – with a focus on leading with their psychological, social, and physical wellbeing in mind. A key aspect of the research is that servant leadership facilitates higher levels of multidimensional wellbeing in part through teamwork, which is a type of social wellbeing that also enhances psychological and physical health.
